At a very early age Danilo immigrated with his entrepreneurial family from Italy and quickly learned the benefits of hard work, education, community, and family.   As the son of an Italian Navy Officer and former Italian Honourary Vice Consul and having a mother from Manitoba who had a long standing career of service as a registered nurse and holistic healing teacher / practitioner, the idea of commitment and service was reinforced at an early age.

Danilo is a proud father of two young girls and believes family and personal relationships are an integral part of any business success. He enjoys traveling both internationally and domestically, outdoor mountain experiences and sports including camping, hiking, and skiing.  He frequents the Canmore area of the Canadian Rockies where his older brother resides with family.  He is accomplished musician and a longstanding member of a popular and energetic professional Celtic folk rock band, Fraid Knot, among others.

Danilo attended the University of Alberta School of Business graduating with distinction in 2000. He also attended training by the American Management Association at Colgate College (Hamilton, New York).  Throughout his university studies Danilo helped managed and worked for the family business.  After a brief position and early success as a Director of Transportation for a school division, Danilo joined the commercial banking and equipment leasing team for HSBC Bank Canada where he spent 11 years.  This experience provided valuable lessons which would serve him and his clients well as he transitioned to Leasex Financial, a respected equipment lease and corporate finance brokerage company based in Calgary, AB for 6 years.

In a further effort to be able to assist Alberta based companies directly to finance and lease equipment, Danilo has joined ATB Financial as a Director in late 2017.  This relatively new Equipment Finance & Lease group is poised to grow and assist entrepreneurs, business owners and corporations in acquiring the equipment required to be successful.
